Three Dads and One Mom may not have been a hit with other drama addicts but it
certainly made me laugh and cry to the end. Of course, the drama has a slightly different scenario. In the American movie, Mary’s mother leaves her at the home of 3 wealthy bachelors who were former lovers. In the Korean drama, you witness 3 men struggling to take care their dead bestfriend’s wife and child whom anyone of them could have fathered through IVF without the widow’s initial knowledge. Exaggerated acting aside, I find entertaining to see 3 men lose their minds literally over a pregnant woman who should not even be their responsibility but they end up losing their hearts to the woman and her child. This is a very rare situation in traditional and even current Korean society but against everyone else’s opinions, they compromise and again “sacrifice” some of their individual comforts to make room for love.
